I tried reading one of the video-cd's I have with my freebsd 2.2-stable and toshiba drive. Initially the attempt failed since my toshiba drive was left to a wrong operating mode by cd-da utilities. After resetting the drive, all went well, both reading the data itself and obviously the directory structure. Pete
