Yesterday my system froze twice during build of the lyx port over nfs. I was unable to do anything to restore the system but to turn off the power. Building lyx using local ports dir succeded. So I guess there is something wrong with nfs ? The nfs server is on a 4.7-release system. My computer is a dell inspiron 7500. If you want more info tell me what to get. firebat# uname -a FreeBSD firebat.foo.bar 4.7-STABLE FreeBSD 4.7-STABLE #1: Thu Jan 23 14:51:36 CET 2003 wrang@firebat.foo.bar:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/firebat i386 The stable was cvsup'ed on Jan 22 2003. firebat# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on /dev/ad0s2a 126M 46M 70M 39% / /dev/ad0s2f 252M 1.3M 231M 1% /tmp /dev/ad0s2g 1.7G 1.3G 306M 81% /usr /dev/ad0s2e 252M 9.3M 222M 4% /var procfs 4.0K 4.0K 0B 100% /proc dragon:/usr/ports 3.1G 2.1G 763M 74% /usr/ports firebat# ifconfig xe0 xe0: flags=8843 mtu 1500 inet6 fe80::210:a4ff:feb5:4917%xe0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x3 inet 192.168.1.5 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255 ether 00:10:a4:b5:49:17 media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX) dmesg: Copyright (c) 1992-2003 The FreeBSD Project.
