PPP will handle the IP negociation and assignment - and it does it very well too. If this turns out to be your case, avoid fiddling with the Linux client - even if they supply one (often anything except Windows is "unsupported"), it is unlikely to work. A line or two on your /etc/rc.conf and a new entry on /etc/ppp/ppp.conf (good example in /usr/share/examples/ppp) is all you need. A.
