To answer your question directly, no, there is currently no way to ask UFS =
to
TRIM unused filesystem blocks. Of course, gmirror has no way to know whethe=
r a
given block is used or not, so the problem cannot be solved there. Creating=
 a
large file and deleting it is probably the only reasonable workaround for n=
ow.
