I've just installed freeBSD v6.2 and installed the updated xorg from sources. After kdm is called I see: Jul 9 17:41:29 rock kdm-bin[817]: X server for display :0 terminated unexpectedly Jul 9 17:41:29 rock kdm-bin: :0[821]: IO Error in XOpenDisplay Jul 9 17:41:29 rock kdm-bin[817]: Unable to fire up local display :0; disabling Any advice? malcolm
