Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org> has asked freebsd-gnome (Nobody) <gnome@FreeBSD.org> for maintainer-feedback: Bug 267248: x11/cinnamon-screensaver: Updating to 5.4.4 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D267248 --- Description --- cinnamon-screensaver is now available in release 5.4.4 The attached diff updates the port for this newer release. Additional chang= es - A port option is added for enabling screen locking.=20 As I've not been able to get this screen locking feature to ever unlock, and I've seen similar reports from other cinnamon users, I've not enabled this feature by default.=20 Perhaps it should be a normal build feature, without an option, for this so= urce feature to be disabled. It might seem contrary to an interest of user priva= cy, to disable this feature in all port builds.=20 In a guess albeit, perhaps this feature might be particularly oriented to L= inux platforms? Maybe someone has ever found a way to configure the desktop environment such that the screen can be unlocked, on FreeBSD platforms. This patch would correspond to a patch to be published shortly, for x11/cinnamon and other ports from linuxmint in updating to a 5.4 series rel= ease
