  How difficult would adding multipath support to the SCSI be?  I'd like
to be able to access an external storage system using two busses.  I've
heard rumours that such a thing is in the works.

  I also wonder whether there is any kind of very unique serial number in
the partition table or disklabel that could be used by such a system for
autoconfiguration.  For instance, if the disk at bus 0, target 1 and
the disk at bus 1, target 2 have the same serial number, they must be the
same disk, so use multipath?  Or am too much of an optimist?
