It seems that a lot of people are reluctant to contact the maintainer. This thread has gone to some lengths to find reasons not to do so. Why? Admittedly, the chances of conflict are relatively low, but there are other good reasons for a review by somebody who should know the product well. OK, there's the danger of timeout, but that shouldn't really be an issue.
