Just get a newer ssh and use the "ask" setting:

Host *
	StrictHostKeyChecking ask

You'll still get the warning, but you can login, after it asks you if
you want to proceed.  This is the setting I have things on around
here, since host keys do change from time to time and I got tired of
typing the command line version of the above.
