AFAIK extFAT is not directly supported by FreeBSD current. You must use fusefs-exfat to mount them. If you try to mount it as if it is a fat32, it won't work or weird problems may happen. It may be that fusefs-extfat has a bug and you get a 00 on rolldice encounter table.
