Program you use and flags you parse to it etc. Your current method creates a perfectly bootable disk while the kernel layer and everything else required somehow is not found. Do you create the ISO with the actual files present locally ? Or do you use a truck load of symlinks during the creation ? If you use symlinks then maybe 1 two many of them is interfering at the ISO= 's primary disk root directory. Hope this helps in some way.
