You realize that each of the three times today you've churned the
code in this file, you've made it harder for me to integrate the
patches I proposed on arch@ last week, right?  You knew about them,
so coordination would have been appreciated.  In any case, I'm
heading off for a vacation soon, so I'll assume this was bad
timing and rewrite and retest my changes next week.
