Hi, I've been using FreeBSD for some time but I've never found a way to enable the local APIC on my system (UP, Intel P3/450 (Katmai)). What I'd like to know is whether there is a reason for the APIC not to be used on UP systems (like Linux does, for example) or if not, what I would need to do to change that.
