Unfortunately, I'm not near the system in question.) I read in the errata that "The GPL_MATH_EMULATE kernel option causes a fatal trap during system startup" and was wondering if this might be the problem I'm seeing. If so, how can I correct it? This is not a custom kernel (first boot after install), so I can't recompile without this option yet. Is there anything I can invoke at the boot prompt to get me past this point or give me more info on what's going wrong? Thanks for the assist, K.S.
