It is highly unlikely you will need all of packages. It is quite big, and you'll probably need just a handful of the files in it. Anyhow, you'll be better off having the basic system running first, and only then worry about packegs. Also, you should consider if running 3.0-current (or a snapshot) is the right thing for you to do.
