You may want to wait for FreeBSD-2.1 Release. Currently there is a pre-2.1 SNAPSHOT available which contains a boot floppy (atapi.flp) allowing for ATAPI CDROM owners to install and run FreeBSD. This is still beta but ought to work for the Mitsumi FX-400 ATAPI CDROM.
