I'll try the following when I've time tuesdaynight or wednesday morning: 1. something like your patch so pushing and popping edi and esi in bios.S. if this works we have made a strong case that this bios is flawed. 2. get the latest bios for this board from Intel, install it and see if this one needs the patches.
