* I just tried to install the ispell port and the first thing it rudely tried to * do is go get that behemoth Emacs and install it on my system. I commented out * that dependency and everything worked just peachy keen, so might I ask why it * is there? I believe it needs it to byte-compile an .elc file. Try "make package" and see if everything really worked ok. Satoshi
