I thought it just set defaults in case of OPTIONS. Well, it doesn't really do much more than that. Some ports want user=20 interaction and instead try some default action if BATCH is set. There's al= so=20 the variant where a port could insist on user interaction by setting=20 IS_INTERACTIVE, then defining BATCH would skip this port altogether. The=20 first variety is pretty rare and I cannot remember any port of the second=20 right now. Also, setting BATCH does not disable parsing OPTIONS, it just disables the= =20 dialog. All in all, I don't think making an extra switch that just influences OPTIO= Ns=20 would be a good idea. If setting BATCH causes trouble with a particular=20 (non-OPTIONS) port, that port should be looked at instead. =2D-=20 ,_, | Michael Nottebrock | lofi@freebsd.org (/^ ^\) | FreeBSD - The Power to Serve | http://www.freebsd.org \u/ | K Desktop Environment on FreeBSD | http://freebsd.kde.org --nextPart1836084.4jUEH00CRq Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBDKZ62Xhc68WspdLARAqHHAKCQKQaFGkZ2eGNb7fy6TDEMINWrjACgoQbR 8gt1bfOdFbs8vtb2clAdjGo= =U57v -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1836084.4jUEH00CRq--
