 I tested this out.  I don't see the behavior indicated.  My postfix  
 is compiled to use BerkelyDB 4.2, so this may be related.  The file  
 was filled with NUL's so it does appear that something did do proper  
 clearing of the memory.
 
 The only other thing I can think is that this is some sort of bug in  
 the system BDB which doesn't clear memory.  I don't know how to test  
 that.
