Let me modify this to note that musepack can be turned off in vlc. It could be that I changed some options when I installed the new mplayer, so my complaint may be invalid, but I'm not sure. All I can say for sure is that I did have both vlc and mplayer installed, and vlc was using musepack. -- Gary Jennejohn
