Hi, I've been having trouble trying to get an onboard CMI8738 sound chip working on 4.9-stable. The motherboard in question is an ASUS A7V266-C. I've tried using "options PNPBIOS" in the kernel config, but it doesn't seem to improve matters. I've included the relevant lines from dmesg / pciconf (when PNPBIOS is *NOT* set) in the hope that some kind soul will find the output useful. Many thanks for any assistance. --Bill ------------------------------------ bash-2.05$ dmesg | egrep "pcm|snd" Preloaded elf module "snd_cmi.ko" at 0xc039509c.
