As such, I'm going to have to add extra disk controllers to accommodate them. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for add-in PCI controllers in terms of driver compatibility (FreeBSD-4.4-STABLE), reliability and speed. As this is being done pretty much on the cheap and only to be shared amongst a household of 3 - 4 people, "real" IDE RAID controllers like the 3Ware cards are not an option - neitehr are the pseudo-RAID controllers.
