Just tried to upgrade, and:

creating build/temp.freebsd-4.9-STABLE-i386-2.3
cc -fno-strict-aliasing -DNDEBUG -O -mpentium -pipe -D_THREAD_SAFE -DTHREAD_STACK_SIZE=0x20000 -O -mcpu=pentium -pipe -fPIC -I/usr/local/include/mysql -I/usr/local/include/python2.3 -c _mysql.c -o build/temp.freebsd-4.9-STABLE-i386-2.3/_mysql.o
_mysql.c: In function `_mysql_ConnectionObject_shutdown':
_mysql.c:1545: too few arguments to function `mysql_shutdown'
error: command 'cc' failed with exit status 1
*** Error code 1

Just checked relnotes for the 1.1.1 'test' release, and it states that
4.1.3 is not supported ... is there any way of adding a test to the
Makefile that checks which version is installed and generates a BROKEN
message?
