The mcd to which that driver refers is the one controlled by a mitsumi
card which is different. A mitsumi ide cdrom drive should be showing
up as a wcd. If not, then you should try installing it as slave on the
primary ide controller.

Hi the installation is not detecting my cd rom . . . here are my
specs

phoenix bios 4.05
pentium 166mhz
32mb ram
Micron PC m55hi-plus
It's a Micron PC with all Intell parts
built in sound card
mitsumi cdrom IDE plugged into motherboard as a slave into the 2ndary
IDE plug

I have an EIDE 2gig western digital caviar drive (it detects this ok)
wcacc22100H (western digital HD)
I have an Intell Ethernet express 16 bit network card

Help! how can i get it to detect my cdrom so i can install this
thing

it says mcd time out getting status when i boot from the boot disk -
that means it's not communicating with the mitsumi cdrom . .
