Thank you for showing some initiative in this area. I would humbly suggest that you pick your battles and concentrate on one item at a time. I recommend the FreeBSD logo, simply because FreeBSD_has no logo_. FreeBSD has a mascot, the Beastie daemon. I wrote about this in my blog when NetBSD's new logo was announced.
