I thought it was clearer to do this in a separate commit, since the import modifies a large number of files, sort of "drowning out" this change. > That said, why does 3.1-pre need a bump? To make it easier for ports people to detect there is a new version. Some command line options have changed, some new behaviour has been introduced, etc.
