Subject:   TIN suddenly acts odd

Today I noticed that TIN reacts slowly to input from me. This
happens only in an xterm, not in any other kind of terminal, and
it's the only program doing it. Seems those two programs have a
little beef with each other. Anyone know why this happens or how to
fix it?
