PROBLEM: although HTTP on box1 works fine via squid on box2 & box3 - ping, telnet, ftp, traceroute, etc, all fail on box1 when going anywhere beyond box2. on the box2 ppp link, i tried fiddling around with "enable proxy" (cannot determine ethernet address for proxy ARP) and "enable proxyall", and -alias, but none seem to change the problem. any ideas on where i may be going wrong? am i missing a route on box1?
