After a while ppp on the FreeBSD machine says: 08-02 14:53:06 [2055] Unknown protocol 0x000d 08-02 14:53:06 [2055] LCP: SendProtoRej 08-02 14:53:06 [2055] Unknown protocol 0xc261 08-02 14:53:06 [2055] LCP: SendProtoRej and dumps core! :/ I have disabled and denied lqr and pred1 on the FreeBSD machine. The FreeBSD version is one of the last SNAPs before 2.1.0-RELEASE (sorry, not sure). I tried to use the 2.1.5-R binary of ppp, but it also dumps core. I added "-vj -bsdcomp -pred1comp" to the pppd call on the linux machine and now it seems to work fine.
