After recompiling the kernel for LOTS of time, I finally got the ps mouse to work. And now I am presented with yet another problem. I have done xf86config properly and when I typed startx, I got the following error. I really am lost and don't know what the error means. Your reply is greatly appreciated!! /====== Error message =================/ TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () can't connect: errno = 2 TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () can't connect: errno = 2 TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () can't connect: errno = 2 TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () can't connect: errno = 2 TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () can't connect: errno = 2 TRANS(SocketUNIXConnect) () can't connect: errno = 2 TRANS(SocketCreateListener): failed to bind listener TRANS(SocketINETCreateListener): TRANS(SocketCreateListener) () failed TRANS(MakeAllCOTSServerListeners) failed to create listener for tcp Fatal server error: Failed to establish all listening sockets giving up. xinit: Interrupted system call (errno 4): unable to connect to X server xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.
