I can go into ppp and use term to dial and connect with no problems, but when I try to dial automatically, using -ddial option or dial command it just stops, and a couple min later gives me an error, something about DialModem failing. Tried simplifying the DialScript in /etc/ppp.conf, but no effect. Also tried another approach, compiling pppd support into the kernel: that does dial, but not the right number at all, and after modem disconnects, bootup crashes and restarts. BTW, I appreciate your help with remote root login, I have no more trouble with that :) Marko To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
