Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-stable@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG at first thinking the problem was related to software, I posted to this mailing list getting lots of replies back. It appears to me as though the maxtor 60 gig harddrive is defective, it likes to overheat. I am running a 15 gig drive (maxtor) very well on udma66 mode. I have kept the ide cables the same and turned my 60 gig down to pio4 mode. I don't get any errors and nothing seems to be overheating. -Darren To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
