It's a Dell laptop...

I'm not unwilling to open her up and poke at it, but I'm guessing that
there isn't an extra PCI slot in there to move the NIC to...

Plus, like, the NIC is being "seen" it just ain't hooking up with the BFE
driver -- Or that's how I interpret the dmesg output...
