My vote goes for gnome28-splash-freebsd-red.png I think going with the standard splash screen of the current GNOME release with an added FreeBSD twist is a good idea. >From jimmac's blog [1], about the new GNOME 2.8 splash screen: "The simple look should communicate the focus on ease of use rather than number of features in this release.
