Our FreeBSD 4.1-R does a dump of the MySQL tables each night, each database into its own text file, and then uses gzip to compress these text files. For two of these files, at least, gzip dies with a 'Profiling timer expired' error. The text files are rather huge, few hundread megs. Could anyone tell me why is this happening, and what is this weird error message? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
