Microsoft Network uses NetBIOS which is high level protocol and it's not the same as NetBEUI. NetBEUI is transport protocol (aka Plug-n-Play protocol, it has NO tunable parameters (such as IP address)). Microsoft Network can use NetBIOS on top of TCP/IP (ports 137,138,139).
