Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hi, Installing ports from the CD-ROM with /stand/sysinstall works fine. But installing from ftp seems to work less good. BUT... when I try to redirect the target directory it doesn't work at all! I try "install PREFIX=/other install". It starts alright, but failes, especially if there are dependies. I tried to install xv and xpaint in another location, but it failed on some tiff- and jpg-directories (dependies). My 2nd disk with /usr is growing filled up, but my !st disk is almost empty, so I would appreciate very much it someone can point out a solution.
