I've thought of reimplementing it but it's a lot of work and it would be
hard to do it better (or as well, speaking as the one who did some of the
work on the current screend).  My current plan is to reimplement the kernel
portion in a way that even DEC wants to use it, and hope that DEC will give
me redistribution rights to the daemon out of guilt :-).

BPF doesn't control forwarding.
