Is there any way to configure (via a configuration file as opposed to
playing with the perl source) adduser to run the NIS make when it
updates the password database? Or, alternativaly, is there a preferred
way of making executions of the pwd db compilation include the NIS make
(eg., shell script, etc?). It just seems that if one is going to
include an adduser, having NIS easily configurable into it would be nice
(it could well be; I just don't see it anywhere.)
Also, the yp man page might want to be updated to include the fact that
there is now client support, not just server support and a challenge to
write ones own ;). My yppasswd question is still open, as to why
yppasswd fails to change the user's password when ypchfn changes the
shell/gecos info fine.
Thanks..
