Hi folks, I've tried to configure my system to mount /tmp in mfs space to improve performance of things like vi. The FreeBSD handbook suggests that /etc/fstab ought to look something like this: /dev/wd1s2b none swap sw 0 0 /dev/wd1s2b /tmp mfs rw 0 0 Here's how my /etc/fstab looks: /dev/wd2s1 none swap sw 0 0 /dev/wd2s1 /tmp mfs rw 0 0 Swap mounts properly, but the mfs mount fails as follows: mfs: /dev/wd2s1: `1' partition is unavailable I've done this successfully before with a "clasically" partitioned disk, and I wonder if my problems don't stem from my using a dedicated disk for swap? Any help would be appreciated. Ciao, Sheldon. To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
