There shouldn't be any obj directory.  I added NOOBJ 3 months ago when
I removed the cd ${.CURDIR}.  If you want to use stale obj trees, then
it is more important to fix the general problem that the obj directory
gets used whenever it exists - NOOBJ is ignored except for `make obj'.
