I was interested in writing a new login(1) for a stone-aged ESIX SVR3.2 yesterday. Don't ask me how many external function and variable declarations i had to put up into my source manually. =:-) The bottom line is, these old Unices were rather easy to handle. :) A full login(1) replacement took about 3 hours, resulting in a 200-line C file. -- cheers, J"org joerg_wunsch@uriah.heep.sax.de -- http://www.sax.de/~joerg/ -- NIC: JW11-RIPE Never trust an operating system you don't have sources for. ;-)
