Date: Wed, 6 Feb 2002 22:50:39 +0100 X-Mailer: KMail [version 1.3.1] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Message-ID: <20020206214728.7520.qmail@psmtp2.dnsg.net> Sender: owner-freebsd-newbies@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org I just recently switched to FreeBSD and bought a 4 CDROM-set with the official iso-images from a german distributor (www.liniso.de). He claims, that the content is identical with the iso images on the ftp-server. I do belive that because I frequently buy CDs from him and never had any problems. Now I`m suffering a serious disappointment, because the included PACKAGES are only a very small part of what is shown in the packages-tree of the ftp-server. For example kdenetwork, XT and XP and dozens (no apparently hundreds) of packages are only listed as packages on the ftp-server. They are not included in the iso-images and therefore in the 4 cdrom-set. I would have to load them down (with my very slow connection). IS THIS RIGHT OR IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY CD-SET? Thanks for any information ! regards Heiko To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message
