The real reasons aren't found by looking at features IMHO viz:

There is one FreeBSD and a thousand Linuxes.

FreeBSD gains a lot of subtle benefits around consistency and
completeness from being self-hosting. Not the least being a comprehensive
and steadily improving CI system that actually tests what is being released.

There is a clear distinction between base and ports so you always
know where to send bug-reports or queries.

Documentation is shipped with the system so you don't wind up
having to search the web for documentation and find it's for a later
version than the one you have.

The BSD License means you can keep your commercial secrets legally
no matter what you do to or with it.
