I'm trying to install Red Hat Linux 5.1 on a Dell PowerEdge 2300 (with 1x6 hotplug backplane), but the install image only sees the narrow bus (with the CD-ROM on it). I found a 5.1.0-pre10 Red Hat boot image on ftp.dialnet.net, but that had the same problem. Should this work? Guessing from the subject lines shown in the confused.ume.maine.edu archive of the list, people do have this machine working with the driver. Could someone tell me what to do? And is there a mailing list archive that works? (for some reason I haven't seen any hypermail-managed archives for any lists recently that were indexed properly...) -- Gravity brings me down.
