I know it has something to do with ifconfig, but I'm = stumped. Question two: Once IP 1.2.3.5 has been setup, how do I give it a = hostname (host.panthernet.com)? I've added an entry to /etc/hosts, but = it didn't work, I don't think, since it doesn't DNS resolve.
