Apple did in fact implement an API in their fork of ipfw which is the inter=
face
being used by miniupnpd to dynamically add or remove port forwarding rules =
to
ipfw on the fly.

As API support was never backported to FreeBSD's IPFW, backporting Apple's =
IPFW
API support to FreeBSD would most likely allow miniupnpd to work with IPFW =
in
FreeBSD.
