This isn't in the plans. If you want to run something other than sendmail as your MTA, there's plenty of ways to do this. Greg Shapiro (who works for Sendmail, BTW) has done a darn good job of making sure that non-sendmail MTAs are well-supported by the rc(8) infrastructure. Bruce.
