Oracle9i needs some IPC_64 calls in the Linux emulation layer which were committed to -current last October. AFAIK these patches were never MFCed to -stable, so Oracle9i still will not run with the upcoming 4.8-R. I run Oracle9i on 5.0-R with one little patch to signal handling, which I posted a while ago. -- Regards, Georg.
